The Cats

They were two sisters from the same litter. They were 19 years old, elderly ladies, when we lost both of them just a week apart in late 2014.

They had the personalities of terrorists. Both were talkers, with loud voices and strong, urgent opinions. They did not go outside, so they only saw my gardens from the window. As with all things they observed, they were not impressed.

  1. Beautiful cats! When I was three years old my mom brought home a sealpoint siamese kitten. We named him Mr. Dobbs because he was brought home in a Mr. Dobbs hat box. When I was a senior in high school I carried Dobbs to the vet for the last time wrapped in an afghan. Too many memories to write about but what a great cat! I'm laughing at the TV shot. We had those big old console TVs then and Dobbs used to nap on top with his tail hanging over in front of the screen. It used to drive my dad nuts.

    1. Sue, what great memories you have. I roll my eyes and complain about these two, but they of course will be missed some day.

  2. can't believe I'm only reading this page now for the first time. I knew you had a cat or two but what beauties they are! LOL, personalities of terrorists. I've actually avoided siamese cats in my house due to their vocal habits but gosh they are so pretty.

    1. Marguerite, these two have aged so much and darkened, but as younger cats they truly were beautiful white cats. But loud! That part they still have --- the loud voices.
