Afternoon on the River

An August afternoon on the Connecticut River:

Do any local readers know where on the river this is?

  3. I have no idea where it is. It looks like many places along the river I have seen. A place where it is peaceful and oh so welcoming.

  4. Laurrie, Great photos. Living in lower Fairfield County it's easy to forget just how green CT really is. I'd love to see that same shot in a few months when the foliage is turning.

  8. Thanks, everyone, for visiting this cool shady river spot with me. It's the view from the weird stone pile of a castle that the 1880s actor William Gillette built in E. Haddam CT overlooking the ferry crossing. We still have a couple spots on the river where car traffic gets across by ferry.
